El Chorro
The Caminito del Rey is in the province of Málaga, Andalucía, in the spectacular area around El Chorro and the Guadalhorce reservoirs. Getting to the area is relatively straightforward by car or train, but there is one important point to understand before you plan your journey: El Chorro is the finishing point of the Caminito del Rey, not the start.
The current Caminito del Rey route runs from the northern entrance near the Guadalhorce reservoirs towards El Chorro. If you arrive by train at El Chorro station, or park on the El Chorro side, you will therefore need to take the shuttle bus to the northern end before starting the walk.
